Tech Cafe and Summer Kids Programs

Updated 2014/06/17

As always, it’s a busy week at the library! This Thursday June 19th, we’ve got a Tech Café at noon for all of you who wish you knew more about Twitter. However, there are only twelve spaces, so you better sign up quickly if you want to learn all about tweets, retweets, and hashtags.

If tweeting isn’t your thing, you can tune in to Green FM at 107.9 from 10:00 – 10:30am to listen to an interview and reading with Raffi.

And for the young ones out there, sign up for our summer programs have begun! Come into the library, call us, or email us at info@saltspringlibrary.com to register for the following:

  • Summer Reading Club: Keep the kids reading over the summer! When they sign up for the Summer Reading Club, they get a reading log in which they can keep track of the days that they read. For every seven days they complete, they get a prize!
  • Library Camp: This week-long event features crafts, games, and workshops with the Travelling Puppet Show! Kids ages 4-8 from 10:00am-12:00pm, and kids ages 7-12 from 1:00pm-4:00pm.
  • Youth Video Workshop: On July 25th and 26th from 9:00am-5:00pm, professional videographer Tristan Bellmane is coming in again for this annual workshop for youth ages 13-18. Participants will learn the ins and outs of writing, storyboarding, shooting, editing, and more!

Hope to see you here!
