Summer Reading Camp, Doors on Perception and Arthur Black

Updated 2014/07/07

We have a fairly quiet week coming up. All is calm as our library staff prepares for next week’s Summer Reading Camp. If you haven’t heard about it yet, I would definitely give it a look. Our Summer Student Matthew Beaver has been hard at work with the members of the Traveling Puppet Show, putting together an excellent array of activities.

Speaking of excellent activities, the next installment of “Doors on Perception”, a six-part seminar series/workshop on photography, is taking place this Sunday from 2:00-3:30. No registration is required, but it’s first-come-first serve.

Lastly, this week’s Canadian Heritage Project spotlight falls onto Arthur Black. This infamous Canadian storyteller was kind enough to grant our second Summer Student, Katie Temmel, an interview and some insight into a life worth talking about.

That’s it for now, folks. In the meantime, keep reading!
