The library has activities and resources for patrons of all ages. This week we are crossing generations with the Writers of the Square Table, hosting an Open Mic poetry evening that welcomes contributions from all ages and welcoming back our Youth Conjuring Club. We also have some advanced news that will be sure to build your enthusiasm for our Summer Reading Program.
Art Show | Writers of the Square Table
The library is pleased to present an art show created by the Writers of the Square Table. This intergenerational group has been meeting weekly to express, listen and share their diverse literary and visual explorations.
The Writers of the Square Table are part of Let’s Get Experimental a project of Connecting Generations, jointly funded by school district 64, the Salt Spring Arts Council, the BC Arts Council and the Province of BC.
The project aims to strengthen the social and emotional health of youth through intergenerational workshops in creative writing and multi-media storytelling.
View the exhibits in the Program Room throughout June.
On **Wednesday the 3rd of June at 4:30pm** join the Connecting Generations Writers Group and Artist-facilitators Sam Barlow, Ahava Shira and Sarah Hook Nilsson for **an evening of poetry, storytelling and art**. An anthology of the works will be published later this year.
