Sandi Johnson

As Sandi Johnson is originally from Northwestern Ontario, her novel,The Comfort of Angels, is based on her experience working with the Ojibwa in that part of Canada. The Wonderful Naked Man is a volume of poetry and line drawing.

Several of Sandi’s works for stage have been produced on Salt Spring Island. Her 2012 play, People Like Us, the story of a Canadian soldier’s return from the 1991 Gulf War, received readings directed by Nicola Cavendish in Vancouver, and received a 2013 production there at Firehall Arts Centre.

In 2014, the ArtSpring art show about personal grief, Empty Places – Open Spaces, showcased Sandi’s poetry.
