Engineering For Kids: Jungle Explorers with LEGO® Robotics FULL

Ages 5-7
10:15am – 11:15am, Friday

Recreate the sights and sounds of the Jungle with robotics! In this class, our youngest engineers will learn the basics of building and programming robots with our LEGO® Spike Essentials kits. Students will work in pairs to explore the jungle, build robotic animals, and protect campers from danger!

Engineering For Kids: Mission to Mars with LEGO® Robotics FULL

Ages 8-12
11:45am – 1:15pm, Friday

Explore Mars using our LEGO® Spike Prime kits! You and your partner will design, build, and code our robots to traverse the unknown territory of the Martian landscape. Can you conquer the Red Planet?

Engineering For Kids: Engineering Design Club

Do you have what it takes to be an engineer? Come and join our Engineering Design Club! Through hands-on team projects, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the engineering design process and explore fields like civil, aerospace, mechanical, and more!

NEW! Saturday VEX-IQ Robotics

Ages 11-13
10am-12:00am, Saturday

Join us Saturdays for a fun and interesting course designed to transition young Lego-Robotics Programmers into VEX Robotics Competitors! This Course takes knowledge gained at the Lego Robotics level, and introduces students to VEX-IQ and Robotics coding language found at GISS and Lego Competitions around the world! If your child has enjoyed Lego Robotics — and might like a head-start on the Highschool Robotics program in a low-stress, fun environment – then this is the course for you!

NEW! After School Drop-in Engineering Challenge Program

Ages 8-13
3:45pm- 4:50pm, Mondays & Thursdays

Hosted by Callum O’Neill in Meeting Room. 8 student program capacity.

This form is for emergency contact information retrieval, the program is first-come-first served. Meeting room closes at program capacity.

Guardians and Caregivers should be aware that last minute cancelations can happen. Due to the drop-in structure of this program, notification may not be given. Please plan for contingencies.

Ages 15+ – Introduction to Costume Design

PROGRAM LIMIT: 5

Join Nadzeya Sadouski in this weekend series to learn the craft of costume design. This program aims to support and advise participants in techniques used to produce costumes you might see at Comic-Con, on film, or at festivals. Planning a design, pattern making, modification of existing garments, foam smithing, industrial sewing, and 3D printed elements and fabric fusing will be introduced to participants as they work on their design and utilize skills and design elements suitable to their desired costume. This program is reserved for people aged 15+ due to inherent hazards present in industrial sewing machines, glue guns, and assorted cutting blades. Caution and discretion are advised. NOTE: While some materials will be provided. Participants may also use their own program-approved materials.
