Spring Break Library Camp 2018

Spring Break Camp is a fun, free camp for school-aged kids.  Our fourth annual spring break camp promises plenty of dancing, storytelling, and writing activities.  Our 2018 session will run from March 27-29, with morning sessions for ages 5-7 from 10:30-12 and afternoon sessions for ages 8-12 from 2-4.

Sign up will be open at the information desk March 15.  Sign up is by the day; sign up for one day or all three.

March 27 (morning and afternoon): Veronika McKee leads kids to choreograph their own dance based on a work of literature.  Presented by Island Link Library Federation.

March 28 (morning and afternoon): Storyteller Kaya Reiss shares her “Bloody Fairytales”, featuring classic fairytales with all the original details.

March 29 (morning): Author Jana Gatien shares her Bobby books.  In addition to a storytime, kids will have a chance to create their own characters, complete with names, visuals, personalities, and quirks.

March 29 (afternoon): Author Kim Tebbutt shares the process for publishing a book, and shares writing exercises with the group.
