Summer Reading Club: Imagine the Possibilities!

Sign up for your 2019 Reading Club booklet to keep track of your summer reading! Kids who read (or are read to) for 15 minutes a day can come back weekly to get a prize!  Complete all seven weeks to win a summer reading medal! Booklets can be picked up starting June 20

Storytime in the Park

Summer Camp Crafternoon

July 8-12, 1:30-3:30 pm, Library Program Room
Ages 5-9
Summer Library Camp is full of fun and laughs during a week of crafts! The camp features a variety of local artists and artisans teaching new skills. Funding graciously provided by the Salt Spring Foundation.

Youth Film Making

Ages 10-13
Learn about film making with Deanna Milligan and make a short film to enter in the Salt Spring Youth Film Festival!

Movie Matinee

Come to the Library for a movie matinee featuring your favourite movies! Families welcome,          unattended children under 10 years old must be signed in and out (limited spaces available).    Popcorn is included!

Story Theatre

Join Story Theatre as they present Off the Shelf, bringing classic tales and fables to life in an action-packed show full of ideas, excitement and fun! With 37 years of experience, laughter and imagination, the professional theatrical troupe will perform a family-oriented show. Sponsored by Island Link Library Federation.

Natalie Meisner Book Launch

Join author and playwright Natalie Meisner for her first picture book My Mommy, My Mama, My Brother, And Me which reflects on her own two-mom, two-son family’s early days growing up in Nova Scotia.

Aidan Cassie Book Launch

Mother Goose

The Parent-Child Mother Goose Program is a free   drop-in for parents, caregivers, and young children, birth to 6 years old to focus on the pleasure and power of sharing rhymes, songs and stories.
