Lavonne Leong is the author of Up in the Hawaiian Sky (Beach House Press), which was named one of the best multicultural books of 2013 by the Center for the Study of Multicultural Children’s Literature. She’s also a journalist, a futurist, and a mom. She has a doctorate from Oxford University, and likes to jump in the ocean, no matter what temperature it is. Lavonne has lived on Salt Spring Island since 2018.
