Adult Book Club

The Salt Spring Island Public Library is pleased to introduce a library-run book club, open to all and free of charge. The group will meet from 1 – 3 pm on the fourth Thursday of each month. Meetings will include both open and structured conversation about the book of the month.

To facilitate each meeting, the Library will provide 10 copies of each book through InterLibrary Loan. If you are interested in participating and would like access to one of these copies, please email bookclub@saltspringlibrary.com. If you are among the first ten people to respond, you will be contacted when the book arrives. It will then be up to you to pick up the book from the library, borrow it using your library card, and return it by the due date. If you are not among the first ten respondents, you are still very welcome to join us. Perhaps you own the book, or can borrow it from someone, or can order it yourself from InterLibrary Loan.

“Membership” to the Library book club is unlike most other books clubs in that participants could change greatly from month to month: come only when it suits you and when the book appeals to you.

Come out to this monthly happening at your library. Meet other book lovers and have fun discussing an interesting read! For more information, phone 250-537-4666, or email us at either info@saltspringlibrary.com, or bookclub@saltspringlibrary.com.
