Salt Spring Island Historical Society, Professor Jack Little, emeritus of Department of History, SFU, will speak about the world of Reverend Robert Roberts, an Anglican missionary from Ireland who set up a mission on Penelakut Island in 1882. His piece of land was not included in the reserved lands of the Penelakut people due to the battle that took place there 20 years before between the English, he lived at Lamalchi Bay.
