How does the FabLab support accessibility?
We have access to many designs for assistive devices that can be 3d printed for you, for free, at the FabLab.
When you book a FabLab appointment our facilitators will discuss your needs and help find assistive device designs that will help make your life easier. Then we will 3D print your assistive devices, free of charge.

What Are Assistive Devices?
An assistive device is any tool, device, equipment or technology designed to help a person with a disability to independently function and perform daily tasks.
These devices allow people to take full part in their communities and get the most out of their daily lives.
Assistive devices can help people with disabilities with activities like:
- Living independently
- Travel
- Work
- Go to school
- Take part in social or recreational activities
- Communicate with others
- Cook, clean, and perform other daily tasks
