Enjoy a varied Arts program infused with technology, craft, and diverse skills sets. From woodburning designs to Stop Motion film-making to circuitry and pop-up cards to cookie decorating. A camp with something for everyone. Signup for any class offered, only one course per day. 

MONDAY

Day 1, 10AM: Design and personalize your own cool kitchen utensil designs then burn your design into life using the Glowforge.

TUESDAY

Day 2, 10AM: Making a Stop-Motion Animation with paper, clay, toys, or Modi-Bot type figure.

From design to production! Script and plan, then stage and shoot, then view. 20 minutes to plan. 35 minutes to make your shots. Then a break. Then some editing/more shooting. Then some group viewing!

WEDNESDAY

Day 3,10AM: Making a Pop-up Card – Making a paper circuit Light up card

Whether you prefer high-tech no-tech or something in between, enjoy making pop-up cards in this program! We’ll aim to make 2 cards and see what happens when things pop out, light up, or unfurl as we paper craft and have fun. Note: fabric, glitter, glue guns and more may be used in this craft.

THURSDAY

Day 4, 10AM: Royal Icing Cookie Design – Laser engraving a Macaron

Learn the fine art of outlining, and filling cookies with coloured Royal Icing. Should that fail miserably, sprinkles, piping nozzles, and stiffer butter cream type icing will be provided. Failure is as sweet as success in this program, as you can take home cookie horrors and honours alike to share with family.

FRIDAY

Day 5, 10AM: 3Doodler – 3D Pen drawing and making

Build as you draw with these unique filament pens that take drawing to the 3rd dimension!  Stencils will be provided, as well as basic plans to introduce the tool and get you started. Whether you make a hollow structure, a nest, fill a mold, create a namesake, or something entirely different, let your creativity guide you as 3D printing gets up close in the palm of your hand. (Morning)

Day 5PM: Film with popcorn, 1-3PM. Board games alternative. Film may range from G (Eg., Finding Nemo) to PG (Eg., Super Mario Bros.) Parents should appraise themselves of selected movie to be responsive to their child’s viewing comfort.
